Document Summary
Learning, remembering, thinking, consciousness, etc. takes a lot of brain work to just walk, without stumbling/tripping, etc. Each hemisphere primary connected to opposite side of body. Nonverbal processing, spatial tasks, music, visual recognition. *doesnt mean it only happens in the left/right hemisphere, it just tends to happen there more. Each hemisphere is mainly responsible for the opposite side of the body left visual eld ends up in the right atmosphere right visual eld ends up in the left atmosphere. Put objects in their left or right hand and see if they could name it. -> in the right hand, people could name it. -> in the left hand, people couldn"t name it but could draw it therefore, left hemisphere is better for verbal processing than the right atmosphere. Left hemisphere = thicker cortex but functions even out --> one is not more capable/better than the other. Left-handedness: organization is more equal --> less hemispheric favouritism/ specialization.
