It is the system they are in that facilitates such behaviour and leads them to this. No difference in the two different categories. The sunglasses = gives them a new identify. The prisoners challenged them the very first day. But day two, the guards took them out and stopped the rebellion. Roles were so powerful, environment was so powerful that they believed the prisoners actually did something wrong. After the first breakdown, there was another person everyday.
