Figuring out why someone is doing something. Lies at the heart of every social interaction we have. When you are on my your phone, minding your own business, and a friend step on your foot, your attitude depends on why you think this friend steps on your foot. When you make attributions about someone, you sample as much as experience as possible about this someone. Cooperate the characteristics of the actors, the target. The degree to which other people are doing the same thing to this target. The extent to which you think this actor does the same thing to other targets. Is this actor stepping on others as well. Whether this actor does the same thing to the same actor. Does this actor like to step on you every time he/she sees in in public. The cooperation of the three dimensions create a certain dimensions. We can have any combination of the contribution of these three.
