Parents select a couple that is known to them. When parents realize they are no longer able to care for their children. Try to maintain the aboriginal culture by placing them in a similar aboriginal culture. Regular foster home can have up to 6 children. Receive around 700 ~ 900 months for care of child. New, unmarried mothers giving away their children. More acceptable for single mother to nurture their own children. What adoption family looks like has shifted. Now common for single parent/same sex couple to adopt. Children are aware of their biological parents.
