Should be special rights and custom adoption. Ensured aboriginal children are raised in aboriginal community when possible. Or adopted families respect aboriginal customs and are accepted by the community. This is up to legal system whether an adoption qualifies in bc. Older the child is adopted, more problems. Younger the child is adopted, fewer problems. Males adopted children are at great risks of problems. Aversive environment have more influence on males. Adoptive families talk about the birth families. Children"s happiness about the level of the openness. May be a slight increased in problems. Goal is to reunite child with birth parents. Children are legally the responsibility of the government. Birth family and placement agency and foster family. The goal is still to return the child back to birth families.
