Unpaid labour is unpaid work caring for family members and maintaining a household. Domestic labour is all work involved in maintaining a home. Caregiving involves the care of children or disabled, injured, ill, elderly, or dying family members. Increase in female labour force participation and dual-earner families. Men"s and women"s participation in paid work and domestic labour became more similar over time. Men continue to spend more time in paid labour and less time in unpaid labour.
