Difference between 0 and 10 degrees is same has between 10 and 20 degrees. Temp in celsius has arbitrary zero: 0 degrees doesn"t mean anything (it does not equal no temperature) Ratio variable: variable with defined distances between values and a non- arbitrary zero.
