Using blinkers when driving we want to know what other people are going to do & therefore, we tell other people what were going to do: minding, my i and me can interact . I can imagine what real others would think (the looking glass) I can imagine what the generalized other would think. We reproduce society by using symbols: non-verbal gestures, verbal gestures, we find society in language, disagreement in society based on meaning of world, ex. Mostly unconscious once learned: becoming aware of self when there"s a breach/disruption. Identifying who we are construct stereotyped situations: problems = consciousness, search alternative means, test them. It becomes stressful when you cant define the situation. No, only a few groups that it works on. Infants, children, seniors that have learning disorders: autism they lack self, conditioning to do something because every other group is rational and it wont work.
