Women move into male-dominant jobs, but males do not move into female-dominant jobs. Middle class groups change more than working class group. Working class jobs are as segregated as before. Mid class more integrated now, ex doctors dominated, but construction workers still not. One of main insights of paul england"s work was that sexism doesn"t just take the form of excluding women from powerful and more rewarded roles, but also takes the form of devaluing any roles associated with women. Dramatic increase for female labour force participation, until 1990s the increase stalled. Men"s decreased a little but has been flat. College majors: huge desegregation since 1971, change slowed down. Occupational segregation: decreased dramatically from 1970s to late. Gender attitudes: toward gender equality increased dramatically in 1970s and 1990s, and now not changed much. Female to male earnings rates of pay gap: now earn 70% of men"s earnings, and increasing.
