Traits
-distinguishing personal characteristics ex. kind, caring, blunt, amoral
-Trait is a puzzle piece; personality is the puzzle (one’s personality is comprised
of multiple traits)
-Certain traits can allow leaders to connect better with followers
Personality
-combination (of traits)
-classifies an individual’s behaviour
-organizes emotions, motives, thoughts
-allows us to be predictable (in terms of behaviour)
-personality tests allow us to classify people
Success = knowing your strengths
Bad Ones (traits) = Derailed
-bullying
-cold, aloof (don’t care), arrogant
-betrayers of trust
-too ambitious (can lead to unethical behaviour)
-overmanage
