Adaptability traditional families in the 1950"s; mom stayed at home, dad went to work. Anything can happen to families someone gets laid off, gets ill, disability etc. Cohesion togetherness that considers you as family. How successful you"ll be in your work environments. Need to develop these skills from the family setting in order to move to the workplace setting. Think and solve problems (ethics) find what you need to support your work. Know how to talk to certain people at work. Upward communication you are the subordinate, your boss is in charge. Be careful not to make subordinates feel uncomfortable. Healthcare: much of the conversation is therapeutic; draw person out and find out what their needs are. Note: different situations result in different styles of communication.
