What is development: when we say reading skills develop in children, we mean there is a change over time. Developmental changes: development = change over time, physical growth, cognitive abilities, social skills, emotional responses, etc. Motor development gain ability to lift our heads, sit up, crawl to walk: quantitative changes in amount. After babies start to lift heads, they start to lift a little bit higher and higher and then able to lift on hands, etc. Development changes in quality also: i. e. language development.
