Content refers to words, meanings, pictures, symbols, ideas, themes, or any message that can be communicated. Text refers to anything written, visual, or spoken that serves as a medium for communication. Includes books, newspaper and magazine articles, advertisements, films, videos, musical lyrics, photographs, works of art. Useful for three types of research problems: problems involving large volumes of text, helpful (cid:449)he(cid:374) a topi(cid:272) (cid:373)ust (cid:271)e (cid:858)studied at a dista(cid:374)(cid:272)e(cid:859, can reveal messages in a text that are difficult to see with casual observation.
