Midpoint transition is critical for group to progress. Team interdependence: degree to which team members interact: Rely on others for information, materials, & resources. 4 types of team interdependence (1) pooled interdependence lowest degree of coordination: members complete their work independently (2) sequential interdependence, members are specialized to perform different tasks in a prescribed order. 2 other types: goal interdependence: team members have a shared team goal & align their individual goals w/ that vision, outcome interdependence: team members share in the rewards that the team earns. Team composition: mix of ppl who make up the team. Member ability: team members provide a wide array of abilities, both physical & cognitive: disjunctive tasks: tasks w/ an objectively verifiable best solution.
