Retouched pictures to make them seem more blanked out, stupid, mean etc. She thought it was an orphanage at first, however the conditions were not very good. Children in straight jackets, small mattresses, cement floors. Felt as though they were in prison though they did not commit crimes. They were told their appendix would be taken out, but they would sterilize them at the same time.
