Good, caring, and nurturing women were drive to this point. These were flawed women who took things too far and were irrational with their abnormal act. It does not force the audience to question why these women had little social support and allies in attempting to mitigate these situations. They were seen as selfish and caring too little or not at all. People do not question whether or not caregiving is difficult. It is seen as magical and manageable, and there is a reinforced idea that women should not require support: autonomous agents socialized to be secondary. Bad" moms operate outside the natural socialization that women are to have undergone.
