Ft as a political project to understand and end women"s inequality and oppression. Ft is critical of the biases of the study and practice of global politics. Many feminist theorists focus their research on areas where women are excluded or marginalized from the analysis of major issues and concerns in gp. Ft offers a set of tools to analyze political events and policy decisions at all levels of analysis. A main emphasis is on the socially constructed roles that women occupy in global politics as well as the construction of differences b/w women and men and the contingent concepts of masculinity and femininity. Therefore, the focus is as much on gender as on women. Gender = the social construction of the differences b/w men and women. Biology determines sex while a mixture of social and cultural norms and one"s own identity determines gender.
