Activity related to influencing, making or implementing collective decisions for a political community. How do we decide on political issues (ex. There are limited resources (money, benefits) but there are many demands. Can be about issues not involving resources (ex. Politics is about resolving disagreements and conflicts over: values and world issues. Political conflict originates over scarce resources and/or differing values. Politics is about religion, power, rights, laws, and everything. Politics resolves disagreements and conflicts over values and world views. Involves struggle among different groups in society who want different things. Anything can change at any minute, its unpredictable. Increased racial profiling in everyone in canada, u. s. and europe: led to assaults on civil liberties, changed airport security. Ripple effects of certain incidents can be seen across societies, and change global history. A general (usually big) idea that is debatable.
