The political principle that flows from these considerations is that when political power is joined to knowledge it looses its compulsion, in this way power becomes changed into principle. By transforming power into principle he could define the citizen as one who share in the benefit flowing from that principle. This is in contrast that the citizen is one who shared in the political community (aristilian). The political community the community that sees to resolve its internal conflicts with pol its replaced with the idea of the virtuous community. At the same time its important to remember that plato never denied tat each member of the community had a right to share in the benefits of the community. What he did deny was that the contribution could be cregated into a playing to share in political decision making. What this simply means is that p criticism of pol participaton grew in his distinction between pol knowledge and pol opinion.
