You should consider malingering when somebody is motivated by external incentives to intentionally produce symptoms. Schizophrenia symptoms must be present for 6+ months and schizophreniform must be present for 1-6 months. Self evaluation is overly in uenced by weight or shape. Suicide attempt: carrying out a suicide plan, with an attempt to die but survives. Suicide gesture: apparent suicide attempt, with clearly non-lethal means. Suicidal ideation: thoughts and/or plans related to dying can be active or passive. Non-suicidal self-injury: self-harm without intent to die i wasn"t trying to die, i was trying to hurt myself. People with depression, borderline pd, and schizophrenia are more likely to commit suicide.
