Primates: our contemporary relatives & the basics of primatology. The study of non-human primate biology & behavior. Primate characteristics: arboreal ability to live in trees (need a lot of anatomical characteristics to survive) , stereoscopic vision - if you climb trees, you need to be able to judge distance. Shred by all primates: binocular vision (forward facing eyes) - shared by most primates (nocturnal do not have this).
