Document Summary
* exhibit a large range of mating systems. * females run the mating systems beucase they have the scent clickers on their wrists and they have pheromones in urine or wrists. They are an example of monogamy, and have monomorhpishm and no sexual dimorphism. Males and females have the same body size. Males are the ones who control the sexual relationships. As they form longterm bonds the rates of copulation are very low and there"s no threat of paternity confidence and males do not feel scared they"ll be cuckolded. Perhaps sexual intercourse plays a role in bonding and protection. There is evidence of cheating in gibbions and siomongs 30% of offspring were not genetically related to the fathers. It"s a disperse mating system, it was first solitary and they thought they were mostly alone, its dispersed because of the food supply and reduced food sources.
