BIO202H5 Lecture 3: Lecture 3 bio202
Document Summary
We already know that o2 is there waiting to be delivered to the circulatory system. Because this is the purpose of oxygenation and respiration. The purpose is to make o2 available to be transported to the rest of the body. We will explain how o2 and co2 are transported in the blood and we will discuss some general circulation and respiration issues. And for sure we are not going to finish point 3. This o2 now is already in the circulatory system. And what we have in the circulatory system differs in different types of animals. Some animals they do have blood, some other animals they don"t have blood, they have a type of circulation which is called the hemocoel system. So, whatever the type of the circulatory media, the blood or the hemocoel. So basically, we don"t want to waste any of these. We already spent energy in the process of respiration.
