When anu was thrown out, kumarbi caught him and castrated him with his teeth, spit it out and they fell to the earth and impregnated gaia ; removed anu"s male power. Kumarbi decided to eat his children so that they wouldn"t take his place. A few of his children passed, until teshub came (the storm god) Teshub was born, delivered, and reared elsewhere, then took over kumarbi"s throne. Described the existence of the multigenerational saga. Talked about how gods differ from humans. A collection of religious documents that celebrate the individual gods (a type of genre) Only thing that makes them homeric: they are in the same language style (old time poetic language) ; dactylic hexameter.
