Necessary for everyday life stuff to work: globalization: interconnections, mobilities, exchange of ideas, tastes, lifestyles, values; rise of mncs (tncs) and ngos; new kinds of inequalities based around information access and literacy skills (digital divides) Identification: personal information economics; new forms of visibility and surveillance to mediate everyday life; new kinds of identities and social roles (e. g. citizen journalists); overall increasing importance of individuality. Millennials, and the particular challenges, obstacles, and social barriers they find themselves facing, stem from many simultaneous changes to various social orders (i. e. social structures such as the economy, government, family education, etc)
