Almost one year ago, facebook released different emoticons (reactions) for post reactions. One simple icon can have the influence over power. Everytime you click on one of these emojis, facebook can see and analyse your behaviours (what you like, love, angry, sad etc. ); operating and responding the behaviours on facebook. These simple icons have real world implications on how we understand each other. Full expressions can be made when it is not face-to-face communication. Barriers with face-to-face communication (don"t want to say the bad things to your face) People are a lot more honest and immune to judgement (willing to take it on online) More public participation in conversations especially among those who are not highly educated. We write massive amounts of texts than ever before. Experiment a bit more with writing forms (ie. the use of slangs, identities, hashtags); publci experiments in rhetoric and communication.
