Public disclosure of private facts: publication of private and embarrassing (sensitive) facts that are not a matter for public concern, facts that cause distress, anything in public records is not actionable. False light in the public eye: false or misleading statement; highly offensive and creates a false impression about the plaintiff, not defamation. Defenses: consent, newsworthiness, truth, plain view, public records. Privacy: theoretical privacy, philosophy (preservation of privacy to sustain intimate relationships with others, social theory, law, privacy in the information economy, fips, privacy by design, from privacy to confidentiality.
