Why: additional software, because most of the programs they use do not always meet their needs. If software is effective you will be able to query and create reports of any necessary information. Interdepartmental politics: actuality, took initiative: suggested other possibilities: Illusion of control: management shouldn"t share with the little guy. Information system 7 example: software creator would just update, no documentation provided, upgrades not necessarily wanted by all. Information systems (7: pros, automation saves time, new build possible so systems can talk, employees become familiar, outsourced it may mean more support, cons. Info system 7: most end users unaware of big picture, end users frustrated with the need for upgrades, contract terms not shared.
