Digital dashboards: strategic and tactical: best practices, tips, examples. Digital dashboards provide a snapshot of the entire business. It is handy with explanations of the metrics, with key context where necessary. Most dashboards have too much data on the screen that can make it hard for the reader to understand what"s on the screen . This is because it summarizes data from many reports into one. o o o. Dashboards are no longer thoughtfully processed analysis of data relevant to business goals with an included summary of recommended actions. They are data pukes, and data pukes are not dashboards. The core problem - the failure of just summarizing performance. There is too much data, and executives want that data summarized to get a snapshot or a top-line view. People who are closest to the data, the complexity, who"ve actually done lots of great analysis, are only providing data.
