Systematic process for learning about world and understanding it accumulated knowledge that arises from a dynamic process. The scientific method: tests ideas/observations/experimentation assumptions: universe works based on universal laws, chain of reactions, uses logic and systematic testing. Understand cause and effect to understand the world. A good hypothesis isn"t necessarily correct, it leads to new questions and promotes thought. Peer review, published, debate uncertainty is a fundamental part consistent supported hypothesis= theory some theories lead a paradigm shift communication is hard because it differs with disciplines, time and place.
