Footwear evidence: transfer of class and individual characteristics between footwear and surface, 2 forms of footwear evidence. Impressions: 3d, made in soft material (e. g. ) mud, photograph and make casts. Prints: essentially 2d, made on solid surface by dust/pollen, photographed and lifted. Info from footwear evidence: identify/eliminate footwear, presence at scene/participation in crime.
