Tim horton"s just fired 350 people; how do you manage employee morale, make such a radical decision, manage your reputation after being purchased by a foreign company etc. As consumers, how will changes in management affect us: ex. Low oil prices result in lower cad/usd exchange rates, lower bank interest, affect exports for businesses etc. Leadership must identify need for change and be committed to implementing change: change may be required but managers may not commit to it, remember the 3c"s of management. When you commit, unfreeze the current situation (break the status quo: must justify our decisions and provide proof of the pros/cons.
