Document Summary

Two hour test in a three hour block. Choose two essay questions out of three. All three are questions asking for a comparison between two or more theorists on a different theme. Nietzsche is in knowledge not truth, he entertains different perspectives. We pursue truth as an ends when it"s more of a means to an end. Philosophy has yet to settle on what truth is. Philosophers have spoken of a will to truth, they all assume that there is a truth to be discovered. That you must need to think more historically, empirically, reasonably etc. The philosophers merely if unconsciously have tried to imprint their interpretation on the world. The truth of good and evil was a historical and psychological interpretation of the world. There is no definitive vantage point for truth. We can speak of truths and know things about ourselves but not of the truth.
