Document Summary

The us constitution was passed in 1759, and it still functions in the same way that it was made to this way, with a few amendments. This longevity is austounding since it was a small state at first and became to a superpower, or a hyperpower as some would state, and has evolved so much throughout the years. The perception of the us constitution is somewhat at odds of what goes on today that"s in the view of many today. A key flaw is that it allowed for slavery. This shows that the us constitution is a product of compromise and it is a flawed document. When it was made they had to decide how representation had to be compromised. They counted slaves as 3/5 of a person, to compromise the north and the south. Then there is also the womens rights to vote. The us constitution is a product of a series of compromise.
