Most of our prejudices aren t really ours, we inherit them. Enemies are the commmon people clinging to the comfortable truths of their ancestors. Reason is the weapon against these enemies. Look in the past to see the development. A modern way to look at the past. We need to see our past in a different light. We need to reorganize it in light of the idea of progress. The first 8 stages can be skipped over. It is just a battle between tyranny and truth. The power of tyranny and superstition overpowered truth and reason. When isaac newton established the true nature of the universe. Institutions and structures are slowly becoming more rational. Common rules put forward by the will of the majority is the best way of protecting these rights. The will of the majority must have certain limits. We have to restrict liberty so liberty of everyone is not infringed.
