Perhaps, one of the reason is because nobody checks the sources: most people are exposed to the news and not the retractions, we also don"t question it; opinions affect our actions. Scientific approaches: the scientific approach offers two advantages, clarity, precision, research methods consists of different approaches to the observation, measurement, manipulation and control of variables in empirical studies. Evidence based on theories: we are continuously trying to create evidence that is relevant to the theory, a hypothesis flows from the theory and is any question that we generate from the theory. The different types of methodology: the two basic types of methods used in psychology are, experimental, descriptive. How you ask the question determines the answer you get. In such cases, we are oft-times not aware of the hidden factors that may be present.
