Primacy efect = we remember the irst few words because we repeated them a lot. = they are stored in the long term memory. Recency efect = when we remember the last few words. = they are stored in the short term memory. In last year"s experiment, 65% recall in repeiion and 68% recall in visualizaion. Proacive interference previously learned informaion interferes with the retenion of new informaion. 1st list of words is interfering with the 2nd list of words. Retroacive new informaion impairs the retenion of previously learned informaion. 2nd list of words is interfering with the 1st list of words. Two lists of 20 words seen for 6 seconds.
