If there are complications during birth, where is it safest to give birth. It is typically less expensive at home: more comfortable at home, there are drawbacks to home birth. Social: ability to identify a face or recognize a familiar face. Slide 50: usually taking in information in their environment, waking activity, they are awake, but they aren"t taking in information. Slide 51: basic cry, occurs when baby is hungry or tired, mad cry, more intense, greater level of discomfort, pain cry, begins with a sudden shriek, more out of the blue. Swaddling helps babies calm down and fall asleep. Slide 53: as time goes on, their sleeping schedules shift.
