Performance was at 96% and after 2 hours, performance was almost perfect (99%) Showed the subjects 1000 pictures and found out that people can recognize 97% of the pictures correctly. And after over an year, the performance became 63% Study done by jenkins and dallenbach: gave people (2 groups) nonsense syllables to study. One of the group was told to learn the words in the morning and went about their normal day to day routine. They were told to recall the words after an hour, 4 hour etc. they had hard time recalling compared to the second group. The other group was told to learn the words at night and slept after learning. They were woken up after an hour, 4 hours etc. and told to recall.
