According to this hypothesis, child will be more competent when they had secure attachment, and they will be less socially competent when they had insecure attachment. Good parenting style is responsible for secure attachment and also for social competence (secure attachment is not responsible for social competence) Temperament is also a factor that in uence social competence, it is seen as biological based manner in which children behave some kids are more dif cult and others are easier. Children who have easier temperament are more likely to show secure attachment regardless of what mother does, and these children will be also more likely to be socially competent later on - they know how to keep their relationships. All these explanations could be true at the same time, in psychology it is very rare that behaviour would have a single cause, it generally has more causes.
