Data view: click on cells to manually modify values. Variable view: name the name of the variable. E. g. , gender: type strings (letters) or numeric (numbers, width how many characters are allowed for each variable. E. g. , if the variable is id, such as 12345, the width is 5: label describes the variable. E. g. , what is your gender: values how the variable is coded. E. g. , 1 = male ; 2 = female : measure nominal (categorical), ordinal (categorical with ranking), scale (numerical interval or ratio, missing. E. g. , the missing data is coded as 9, so that 9 will not be accounted into data analysis. Can export analysis to pdf or word document. Sort cases: e. g. , sort from oldest to youngest.
