It could also be people who are exceptional in terms of mobility, i. e. people who can run very fast, vs. people who cannot walk. Most of our topics are concerned with people on the lower end of the normal distribution. Social isolation is the first stage includes things like murder, confinement outside society. Until the middle ages, at the beginning of the renaissance in the 17th and 18th century, all kinds of activities, such as murdering children who had disabilities and confinement outside of society were carried out. It is a small island separated by water. People would never be able to be part of mainstream society.
