Asd = neurodevelopmental disorder because it"s evident from very early on. Asperger it would be said that he/she is part of the autistic spectrum. November 19th 2013: consider: those with globally developmental delay or an intellectual disability may result in these characteristics, and the way you approach the characteristics is different than how you"d approach asd. Early 1940s: world war 2: kanner and asperger both studied autism but there was no communication because one was from usa and one from germany. Kanner took most of the credit because he was american and wrote in english, while asperger was. Asperger was the only one who thought autism was a spectrum disorder. Both believed in asd had neurological basis.
