And emotional pain actually magnifies the physical pain. Relationships that are secured protect us and help brain- stronger memories. Different types of predictors- stronger predictor is relationship than cholesterol level multivariate design. Measure something early on and see what happens later on e. g. grit predicted the successfulness in people coming to army. Early abuse and later depression- kids who are abused will grow up to be more depressed- longitudinal.
