Identity theft to get away from a debt you have: street crime affects one person, white collar affects 100s of people, but white collars have less sentences, street crime is more physical. What is law: a system of rules to regulate behaviour, enforced through state and social institutions, sanctions are the penalty for disobeying or breaking a law. Deals with groups of people like corporation etc. Things that affect the public and deals with society. Someone commits armed robbery and gets caught and punished in court (not a crime aginst you but crime against state) The formal, official written legal statutes, legislation, acts, court decisions, and regulations, as well as rules for their enforcement. The decisions, actions, or experiences individuals or organizations have that involve law.
