Social classes are positions people occupy in a hierarchy that is shaped by their source or amount of income and wealth. Class con ict is the struggle between classes to resist and overcome the opposition of other classes. Class is a way of classifying people into social groups. Where the money come from > amount of money. You can classify people in numerous ways but the fundamental way to classify is your source of income. Whenever there are di erent classes you will never fund total harmony. Structuralism argues that society would function if everyone knows their position. There is always con ict and people struggling. Con ict is just many types of interactions. Con ict theorists believe that con ict is what drives social change. Nature of capitalism is to maximize pro t. Wherever you have class, you have con ict. Your class is also your life style (what you wear, what you eat, how you act)
