Fundamental restructuring of policing has impacted current practice. In particular, changes in the delivery of security and safety. See police as part of a safety and security web: justice system, education system, correction system, local health care providers, and more! All agree the landscape of police has changed; no longer the sole authority of crime & justice. Despite only monopoly of violence; and respect. But police themselves started to realize = a part of larger security web: private security has eclipsed the police; in terms of money + increasing industry that"s gi(cid:448)e(cid:374) (cid:373)ore tasks. No only use those obvious industry & align ourselves with them. Justice system bring in the ideas: judge police success by graduation rates rather than arrest rates: keep them integrated of society & prevent them from criminal pathways. All these individuals are already involved = see them as part of this broad police. Canada has three levels of government involved in its policing: municipal, provincial, federal.
