Content analysis can be simultaneously both quantitative or qualitative: counts this is when you count textual elements to identify or organize themes or patterns, this is usually a first step towards an interpretative. Manifest refers to those to elements hat are physically present and countable: seeks to describe those visible elements. Latent refers to the hidden or underlying meanings of data. Using a theoretical framework to guide your selection and analysis of data. Searching for emerging themes solely from the data, without pre-existing research, theories or literature influenced your search or sections.
