Structural violence : this is defined as: social structure, or pattered social arrangements, that put individuals and populations in harm"s way , embedded in political and structural environment of societies. In line with this, gender-based violence can be understood in terms of both violence and structural violence: this is captured in the feminist adage: the personal is political , which according to kleinman (2007) implies: (a) we cannot understand our beliefs, feelings, and behaviors without putting them into the larger context of oppression and privilege; (b) any action we take individually or collectively has consequences for reinforcing or challenging unfair patterns, and; Love shouldn"t hurt campaign: sexual violence, "any sexual act, attempt to obtain a sexual act, or other act directed against a person"s sexuality using coercion, by any person regardless of their relationship to the victim, in any setting. This kind of violence can take many forms: cyber, physical, sexual, psychological, emotional, and economic.
