Worked in an area known for prostitutes, outside where white people would normally venture; they were up to no good. The men searched for women who are disposable. Razack demonstrated that space is racialized and gendered. Colonizers claimed the space in the nation and the space that natives lived violently as their own. Cleanliness, spaces where bodies are racialized are marked by degeneracy; a space constructed, where travelled by men, where it"s okay to brutalize/mutilate women. They created projects that cordon off the racialized poor that was administered by municipal laws and reserves administered under the indian act for canadian aboriginals.
